I hold a degree in Mathematics and Physics as well as a Diploma of Education from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. I later also obtained an MSc in Computing Science from Imperial College, London.
I have spent over ten years as a teacher of mathematics and physics in leading independent schools in the UK and in Ireland. I have qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK, and an enhanced DBS/CRB certificate.
My teaching career was preceded by a number of years competing in chess, during which I travelled throughout Europe participating in various international tournaments.
I was awarded the title of Women International Master in 1991, then became Hungarian Women’s Champion in 1992. I also played for the Hungarian national team during the European Team Championship in 1993.
I also teach chess in Chess for Kids.
